Do you enjoy not only. reading but discussing books?
Our friendly members meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.30 pm for book reviews and drinks .
We take turns hosting the evening and choosing the book .
The members tastes vary, so we get a very wide range of books. Books read recently include “The Satsuma Complex” by Bob Mortimer, “Lessons” by Ian McEwan, "The Farm at the edge of the World” by Sarah Vaughn, "Shields of Pride” by Elizabeth Chadwick, “The Island of Missing Trees” by Eli Shafak, and “The House of Music” by Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason. If there has been a film or TV programme about any of our books, we sometimes watch a DVD together, and compare it with the book.

We end the year with a Christmas Meeting with a book Secret Santa , food , a quiz and games .
