CURRENT AFFAIRS GROUP 2

Current Affairs Group 2 meets for 2 hours once a month to discuss issues
of a social, economic and political nature of international, national or local
interest that are currently in the news.

The Group Leader normally starts a meeting by suggesting between 3 and
5 possible discussion subjects. He/she will then welcome additional
subject suggestions from the group members. The Group then votes to
select and prioritise the subjects to be discussed at the meeting.

The Group sits round a table and discuss the selected subjects in turn with
anyone at the meeting able to raise points and give information and
opinions.

Discussion generally is courteous and shows respect for different points of
view.

We don't solve the world's problems - but we do learn from one another.
Our group members have lived and worked in many different job /
professions and countries - so that discussion is usually well-informed.
