U3a Musicians Ensemble

Have you played a musical instrument? We would love to hear from you, don't worry if you haven't played for a while, this is what the group is all about, many of us have returned to music after not playing for a period of time.

We are a new friendly group of amateur musicians with a range of abilities who enjoy playing instruments, the group gives us an opportunity to play together as an ensemble and to develop our music reading and playing skills. Currently we have people playing flute, trumpet, trombone, acoustic guitar, piano/keyboard, voice and clarinet. We welcome newcomers who want to join and help to develop the ensemble sound. 

The music we play is chosen by us all and we each play a role in developing our individual part. We take things slowly, giving everybody the chance to understand their music and operate successfully within the ensemble. We have a tea/coffee break in the middle and generally have fun with a relaxed approach to the workshop sessions.
